    Prof Schuler: It is actually a negative selection of patients of course. Patients with low risk usually undergo conventional valve replacement， so we are usually talking about patients who have been eliminated or rejected for conventional heart valve replacement. We cannot start treating patients with a very low risk.

    Schuler教授：实际上，适合TVAI患者的选择用的是排除法。风险低的患者通常接受传统的瓣膜置换手术。因此，TAVI通常用于哪些不适合或拒绝接受传统心脏瓣膜置换手术的患者。很低危的患者不能一上来就做TVAI。

    Prof Schuler: The risk of cerebrovascular attacks during the deployment of the valve is actually very low and we have not experienced an incident in the past year， but there are protection devices under development and as these devices become available for use in the clinical setting， we are set to use them in order to decrease clinical events and make this procedure more secure.

    Schuler教授：在输送瓣膜时发生脑血管事件的风险相当低，在过去的一年中我们一例也没有碰到。但是，目前有保护装置正在研发当中，如果将来保护装置能够进入到临床的话，我们就会应用保护装置，以减少临床事件的发生，使瓣膜置换术更加安全。
